MANHATTAN - Dozens of residents gathered at City Hall today to show support for the Kingsbridge National Ice Center proposal.

The City Council held a public hearing on the proposal. The hearing lasted several hours due to the number of speakers and questions for councilmembers.

While the vast majority of the attendees were in favor of the proposal, there were some that came with concerns. Among the concerns expressed are that the project could create too much traffic and hurt small businesses in the area.

A vote on the proposal is expected on Dec. 10.
