THE BRONX - Residents living near the Morris Park subway station say they're unhappy with the sanitation pickup in the area.

They say the sidewalks are frequently neglected and trash is piling up outside the 102-year-old building.

One resident says that it's disheartening to see that a building that is a recognized U.S. historical building has been left in such a state of disrepair.

Volunteers do make occasional rounds to pick up some of the garbage, but their efforts are not enough, residents say. They want the MTA or the Department of Sanitation to step in and claim responsibility for the upkeep of the area.

News 12 reached out to the MTA regarding the issue, but no response was given.
