BROOKLYN - Many residents say they're thankful and honored that President Barack Obama visited Brooklyn today.

Hundreds lined up on the street for hours hoping for a glimpse of the president in Crown Heights.

"It makes me feel good, but I wish that I was one of the kids in the school to get the great opportunity they're getting now, and I hope it takes them somewhere and he gives some great information," said one resident.

President Obama spoke to students at P-Tech and recognized the early college school for its unique model.

President Obama's speech focused on education, but he also said that it was good to be back in Brooklyn, where he once lived across from Prospect Park.
