THE BRONX - Many Bronx residents took to the streets to remember Jesus’ suffering and death on Good Friday.

Parishioners from St. Raymond’s Church in Parkchester gathered to commemorate Jesus’ death with a procession along Metropolitan Avenue.

More than 100 people took part in the procession, reenacting the 13 Stations of the Cross, which are the events that led to Jesus’ death. For the past 20 years parishioners have come together to bring this part of the Bible to life.

The procession started at 1 p.m. and concluded over an hour later at St. Raymond's Church, where the performance’s crucifixion scene took place.
