THE BRONX - Residents along Gildersleeve Avenue said their street was completely flooded today and they believe the lack of storm drains only made it worse.

The wet weather began last night and is expected to drop 2-4 inches of rainfall by Friday. Residents said Gildersleeve Avenue between Betts and Husson streets was flooded since the morning. They say they have been lobbying unsuccessfully for years to have storm drains installed.
