THE BRONX - Residents say mounds of trash are piling up in Claremont Park and they are fed up with the mess.

The New York City Department of Parks and Recreation says park visitors are leaving trash from picnics and barbecues, even though barbecuing is not allowed in the park.

The Parks Department says it cleans Claremont Park daily and has added trash cans.
