(08/11/10) THE BRONX - Residents today left candles and flowers to remember 76-year-old Marcelino Adraneda, who died yesterday as a result of injuries from a bus stop crash.
Adraneda's daughter, Ofel Bernardo, spoke to News 12 The Bronx and said her father was on his way home from visiting his two grandsons. Neighbors said Adraneda was a very kind and caring man. They said he would always offer to lend a helping hand to anyone, from his building super to the mailman. The neighbors said he will not only be remembered for his kind heart, but also for the fidoras he wore every day.
Funeral arrangements have been made for this weekend at the Ortiz Funeral Home on the Grand Concourse. Adraneda's family is asking for financial help to send him back to his native country of the Philippines.
