THE BRONX - Residents of a Bronx apartment building say they have put up with deplorable conditions for too long.

As News 12 previously reported, tenants at 805 East 156th St. say their apartments are crumbling due to water damage. Residents also said they are living with mold, rats, roaches, broken doors and no heat or running water.

The city has relocated those tenants to the Bronx Park Motel and will meet with them tomorrow to discuss future housing options.

Residents say they will have to check out of the motel on Wednesday.

News 12 contacted the city’s Department of Housing Preservation and Development as well as the attorney for the building’s owner. They have yet to respond.
