Residents on edge after series of BX shootings

THE BRONX - As police continue to investigate three separate shootings early yesterday morning in The Bronx, community members within the 47th Precinct are worried about the recent increase in violence.

Officials say all three shootings took place within blocks of each other and left four people injured.

Residents say they believe some of the violence stemmed from a party that was hosted at the Boston Secor Houses on Boston Road.

Community members say stricter gun control laws are needed to keep guns from flowing up from Virginia and North Carolina and ending up in The Bronx.

Police say no arrests have been made in connection with the shootings.
