WAKEFIELD - Residents at a building on East 228th Street are moving on after a fire ripped through their apartments yesterday.

The fire injured three children ages 5, 6 and 7. The younger two were rescued by residents using a blankets and a trampoline, while the 7-year-old was saved by a firefighter.

A number of adults and firefighters were also injured in the fire.

The building has been deemed unlivable after the fire. The Red Cross is assisting those displaced, providing them with temporary shelter.
