Residents: Pratt Ave. construction a headache

THE BRONX - Residents say construction along Pratt Avenue is tearing up the sidewalk and causing a headache.

The project is being overseen by the Department of Design and Construction. The department plans to redo water mains, catch basins and pedestrian ramps, as well as landscape the area. Residents say uprooted trees and debris are being left near their property. Many also say workers broke fences and cut their hedges during construction.

The project is expected to be completed in the fall.
