THE BRONX - The postal union along with dozens of residents rallied on 149th Street today against the proposed closure of several post offices in the borough.

The U.S. Postal Service says it's reviewing 34 stations citywide and 17 of those are in The Bronx. Earlier this year, three post offices were closed in the borough.

The review comes after a decision to consolidate and possibly close thousands of post offices across the country due to low foot traffic.

Last year, the U.S. Postal Service lost $8 billion in revenue. It says customer habits are changing and many are now doing their business online.
