THE BRONX - A recent spike in crime in the Bronx has residents concerned and police are taking steps to combat violence.

Last weekend more than nine people were injured due to violence in the Bronx. Police say they have installed Skytowers -- patrol towers placed high above ground to patrol long ranges -- in order to monitor crime. To supplement the towers they have also added cameras.

However, some residents say the towers are not enough. Many say foot patrols and response times need to increase as well.
