THE BRONX - Bronx residents say they are shaking off the 5.8-magnitude earthquake that rattled the East Coast yesterday afternoon.

The quake struck the town of Mineral, Va. but tremors were felt across the East Coast around 2 p.m. yesterday. The quake caused several temporary building evacuations aswell as suspension of area flights and trains.

Some residents say the quake felt like being on a jarring subway ride. Others say they feared of another terrorist attack close to the 10th anniversary of 9/11.

There were no major reports of damage as a result of the earthquake.
