THE BRONX - Dozens of children and parents took part in a snow day at Crotona Park today.

The event was hosted by the city's Parks Department.

Free sleds and hot chocolate were given out to eager kids who couldn't wait to take a run.

The Parks Department usually hosts a free day of sledding at park's throughout the city the day after a snowstorm.
