Residents: Trash causing problems across The Bronx

THE BRONX - Residents across The Bronx are voicing their displeasure after they say trash is piling up and causing a heap of problems.

On University Avenue and Earnes Place, some residents have received tickets for not bagging their garbage correctly and rats have now found a new home in the pile.

Over on Beach Avenue, Gloria Green and her family are also dealing with a large pile of trash. Green says she is tired of looking at the remains of their Christmas dinner.

"Our day was Tuesday...we put it out. No one came to pick it up. They told me they'll pick it up when they get to it," said Green.

The Department of Sanitation is telling residents that everything will be collected by the end of the week.
