THE BRONX - Residents in Westchester Square say the United States Army & Air Force Recruiting Office is an eyesore and fire hazard for the area.

Area business leader John Bonizio says for more than two years, the storefront at 63 Westchester Square has remained unused. He says there's no sign or light bulbs and wires are exposed on the outside of the building.

Many residents say the building brings down the value of the neighborhood and looks like a drug haven.

Rep. Joseph Crowley (D-7th District) says after receiving multiple complaints, he spoke with the leaseholder, who has agreed to install a new sign outside the storefront within the next two weeks.
