THE BRONX - Residents say they are tired of seeing vandalism on their streets and a recent act at St. Francis Xavier Church has them asking for more vigilance.

The walls of the church were covered in white spray paint. Traces of graffiti were also found throughout the neighborhood.

"It's a shame something like this is happening,? says Father Matthew Furey.

Community members say the vandalism is decreasing home values, and many say graffiti on the church was a step too far.
