THE BRONX - A brand new building has been unveiled for a growing charter school in the Bronx.

Excited students, teachers and even some special guests attended a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Bronx Academy of Promise's new facility on Inwood Avenue.

Kids got their first look at the new classrooms, complete with fresh paint and windows, which were missing in the school's old building.

The school originally opened on River Avenue with students from kindergarten through third grade. It now goes up to seventh grade with more than 450 students, and will extend to eighth grade next year.
