THE BRONX - Riverdale residents are up in arms over new plans for one building in their community.

Angry neighbors have been protesting a proposal to bring in a cross between a homeless shelter, senior living center and home for the emotionally disturbed.

Residents are especially upset because they claim Councilman Oliver Koppell knew about the proposal for more than a year, but waited to tell his constituents until it was already on its way to getting approved.

The plan will be up for discussion at a Community Board 8 zoning meeting next Monday.
