THE BRONX - Drivers are being warned of construction projects that will be kicking into high gear over weekend.

One lane will be blocked both ways on the Major Deegan Expressway, with all lanes subject to closures of up to 15 minutes during the overnight hours.

The Hutchinson River Parkway will also have one lane out for roadwork in both directions approaching Westchester Avenue.

Alternate side parking rules are in effect Saturday and Sunday, but they will be suspended Monday in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Track work will halt 5 trains in the borough. Subway riders will have to stick with the 2 and 4 trains from 125th Street to Burnside Avenue.
