THE BRONX - Roberto Clemente State Park is getting funding to spruce up the green space.

The $500,000 will go toward the development of a new synthetic baseball and football field. There's no word yet on when the work will be completed.

State parks in the area are getting a total of $90 million toward improvement and repair projects.

Other parks that will see improvements include Jones Beach and Robert Moses State Park on Long Island.
