THE BRONX - Many Bronx residents are displeased about the run-down conditions of a welcome sign at a major entrance point to the borough.

The billboard of the Robert F. Kennedy Bridge greets drivers as they enter the Bronx. One residents says the picture is horrible and if they did not live here, there is no way they would visit.

Despite the sign not being owned by the city, some are calling on officials to help take it down.

Another resident says the billboard feeds into the stereotypes that have plagued the borough for decades.

News 12 has reached out to the owners of the billboard space and notified the Bronx Borough President's Office about the complaints, but nothing has yet been said.
