BROOKLYN - Monday kicked off the first Russian Restaurant Week in Brooklyn.

Dozens of eateries are participating in the event, all with an Eastern European flair.

Each restaurant is offering either a discount or something free to go along with a meal.

The event was organized by Brooklyn's Chamber of Commerce to introduce food lovers to the world of Russian cuisine.

Russian Restaurant Week runs through Sunday.
