THE BRONX - Dentists from Saint Barnabas Hospital are on a mission to make sure Bronx kids know how often they need to brush their teeth and for how long.

The traveling group of informative dentists visits about five schools every month, and this week it made a stop at the New York Institute for Special Education where students received a demo about how to properly brush.

The dentists are especially stressing the importance of oral hygiene this February as part of National Children's Dental Health Month. Both kids and even their parents can get free dental screenings at Saint Barnabas all month long.

According to the Centers for Disease Control, cavities are the most chronic childhood disease, with one in five kids having an untreated cavity, and is four times more common than asthma.
