BRONX - Samuel Gompers High School students dedicated a garden today in memory of a fallen hero, Angel Juarbe.

Juarbe was a born-and-raised Bronx firefighter who died in the Sept. 11 attacks.

The students at the East 147th Street school planted a garden in his honor and called it "Angel's Garden."

The school was able to buy the plants thanks to a $2,000 grant from the nonprofit group Grow NYC.

A sophomore from the school says, "We're making this garden as a dedication to a man who gave it all, but never lost it all. We really believe that we are actually doing a good thing by planting this garden behind us."
