THE BRONX - The Department of Sanitation is using new technology to improve its cleanup efforts for future storms.

The city has tested out GPS tracking devices that would let the mayor know where all sanitation trucks were at all times. Additionally, five cameras were installed to view conditions across all of the boroughs.

Residents across the city were outraged last week after snowplows left streets covered in snow days after the blizzard dumped more than 2 feet of snow in some areas.
