THE BRONX - NORAD has updated its Santa-tracking technology.

The North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) has been tracking Santa's journey since 1955, when a store advertisement misprinted a phone number and accidentally sent the calls to NORAD's predecessor.

This year, kids and adults can track St. Nick through NORAD's Santa Tracker App, available for iPhone, Android and Windows-based phones.

Sleigh watchers can also keep up on the trek through Bing maps or on Twitter.

Google is also providing a Santa tracker this year that can send messages to good girls and boys through Google Plus. On Christmas, kids of all ages can watch Santa hop from continent to continent with Google maps and Google Earth. Last-minute shoppers can also follow the journey with Google's smartphone app for Android.
