THE BRONX - Heavy snow and ice caused a scaffolding to collapse on top of three cars in Olinville.

It happed at the Parkside Houses on Adee Avenue at around 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Residents say the scaffolding has been up for more than five years to shield people from loose bricks that fall from the building.

Police notified the scaffolding company, and Councilman Ritchie Torres contacted NYCHA after seeing the damage.

No injuries were reported.
