THE BRONX - The Bronx Studio School of Writers and Artists has started a scholarship to honor Alphonza Bryant III, a student who was gunned down in April 2013.
The scholarship began as donations to help Bryant's family cover funeral expenses, but when it came time to pay, Bryant's mother decided to give the money to another student going into college.
Bryant's mother says she wants to help another student make it to college, since her son was prevented from going.
