THE BRONX - A school bus crashed into a van Wednesday morning, sending 12 people to the hospital, including seven children.

According to a police source, the van ran a red light, causing the bus to lose control and run right into the front of El Provocon Restaurant. One person in the van claims the bus driver was going too fast.

A spokesperson for the Department of Education (DOE) said all seven kids on board, along with two adults, were taken to Jacobi Medical Center for observation. They had been on the way to New Life School.

EMS says three people in the van were also transported to the hospital. All of the injuries were minor.
