THE BRONX - There were plenty of feet pounding the pavement in Castle Hill on Wednesday, all in the name of autism awareness.

School bus drivers and attendants from the Consolidated Bus Transit Group held their annual Autism Awareness Day march to raise money for Autism Speaks.

Autism Speaks is a group that sponsors research and raises awareness about autism. Drivers say that an important part of their job is making sure that all kids are treated equally.

"Everyone looks at an autistic child differently, they're different but not less, you have to accept them and we accept them because every child should be treated equal, no matter what disability they have," said Sadie Santos, of the Consolidated Bus Transit.

Another autism awareness walk will be held in Van Cortlandt Park on Sunday. It will also be supporting Autism Speaks.
