School chancellor heckled over toxin concerns

THE BRONX - The threat of school toxins sparked a protest today when School Chancellor Dennis Walcott visited The Bronx.

The first-year chancellor, who stopped by the Academy of Letters to check the progress of its healthy-eating initiative, was heckled when he left the school by a group of protesters.

Parents are concerned that schools built before 1978 could contain potential cancer-causing chemicals.
