Several hurt after fire breaks out in Clason Point

Several people were rushed to the hospital after flames broke out inside a home in Clason Point. Officials say the fire started on Patterson Avenue

THE BRONX - Several people were rushed to the hospital after flames broke out inside a home in Clason Point. 

Officials say the fire started on Patterson Avenue just after 6 a.m., and escalated to two alarms in less than a half-hour. 

News 12 is told that three people were taken to Jacobi Medical Center, with two being in serious but stable condition. One firefighter was also treated for minor injuries. 

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
