Severe summer storms soak The Bronx

THE BRONX - While the severe storms that soaked the borough and lit up the sky are over, rain is expected to continue well into the morning hours.

The storm dumped lots of rain, lashed the borough with fierce winds and lit up the darkened skies with bolt after bolt of lightning.

Many residents were caught off-guard by the fast-moving storm and were forced to quickly take cover from the rain.
