THE BRONX - A construction project in Country Club is putting drivers through a major parking crunch.

Residents complain that pipes and blocks lining the neighborhood streets as part of a sewer and water main reconstruction project have taken over most available parking spots for the past six months.

The equipment moves down the block or across the street each week, but drivers say that it doesn't change the fact that there are fewer places for their cars.

Some people suggest that the equipment be moved to a vacant lot nearby. That land is owned by the state's Department of Transportation, which says it's working with the construction company to reach an agreement.
