WAKEFIELD - The Shiloh Temple Pentacostal Church in Wakefield is in danger of closing unless it comes up with enough money to make repairs.

The pastor at the church says he received a notice from the Department of Buildings a little over a year ago, saying that the condition of the church's front steps was not up to standards. Repairs would cost around $27,000, a difficult sum for a church with a regular congregation of only 50 members.

Residents in the Wakefield community call the church is a lifesaver, as it provides more than 300 people with much-needed food and shelter.
