THE BRONX - A local business is striving to make the Bronx a greener place, while employing more workers with disabilities.

Shredability is a plant-based recycling company that has been offering jobs to mentally challenged workers since 2011.

Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. visited the environmentally friendly shredding service, and commended it for its commitment to the planet and providing employment opportunities to those in need.

The owners of Shredability say they're now working on creating more technical jobs.
