THE BRONX - A young woman on a skateboard is dead after being run over by a school bus.

Police say 20-year-old Genielle Laboriel was skateboarding in a bike lane along Melrose Avenue when the bus went to make a right turn and pinned her under its wheels at 160th Street.

According to witnesses, kids were on the bus at the time of the accident, but were all safely removed. One neighbor captured it all on surveillance video, which has been turned over to the police.

Laboriel's family says she was passionate about skateboarding, and would travel as far as Brooklyn on her board.

The driver of the GVD LTD bus remained on the scene. No charges have been filed, but the investigation is ongoing.
