A customer found a skimming device and hidden camera inside the 59th Street Columbus Circle station Wednesday night.

BRONX - The MTA is warning commuters to be on the alert when using automated MetroCard machines.

A customer found a skimming device and hidden camera inside the 59th Street Columbus Circle station Wednesday night.

The MTA says the customer noticed it, took it off of the machine and brought it to a station agent. 

Anyone who may have used a credit or debit card at the station is urged to check with their credit agency to make sure there haven’t been any unauthorized purchases.
