THE BRONX - Bronx students went back to school Thursday slipping and sliding on the snow-covered sidewalks.

Many students said streets were wet from slush and created a problem for bus transportation. Others who walked to school said they had a diffuclt time crossing piles of snow on sidewalks and entrances.

Many parents said the city should have taken one more day to clear the streets. Students had mixed reaction with some wanting to stay home and others excited to be back with their friends.
