SOUNDVIEW - Bronx residents were caught off guard Thursday when snow flurries quickly coated the ground and strong winds made for a messy morning.

"It's really shocking!" says one Bronx resident. "I'm not dressed for it, but I'm trying to get back to my garage, where it will be nice and warm."

Meteorologists say the bitter blast is expected to last through the weekend.
