THE BRONX - Thursday’s snowstorm left damage in its wake in areas of the Bronx.

In Van Cortlandt Park, an awning on a house fell during the snowstorm yesterday. When the awning fell, it blocked the entrance to the upstairs and downstairs apartments. No one was hurt.

Another resident, Tony Frandina, found his attempt to put up a snow barrier to be futile, as it fell down along with snow in the storm. His rain pipe was also damaged by the snow. He estimates the total damage will cost a few hundred dollars.
