THE BRONX - 'So You Think You Can Dance?' judge Nigel Lythgoe was on hand to watch performances from students at the Kips Bay Boys and Girls Club.

Lythgoe came to Kips Bay to applaud the center's dance program.

"They've got a wonderful program here and they're sort of teaching the kids here around the community culture," said Lythgoe.

The center is famous thanks to singer and American Idol judge, Jennifer Lopez, who got her start dancing there.

Lythgoe hopes that the center's programs will encourage kids to remain active.

To help with this, the center is giving away a scholarship for $2,500 to one Kips Bay Boys and Girls Club student.
