Social media abuzz over marriage equality

While many are celebrating Friday's Supreme Court ruling on same-sex marriage at the NYC pride parade, others went to social media to express their thoughts.

A Twitter spokesperson reported that by 3 p.m. Friday, there were more than 10 million tweets about the Supreme Court decision.

THE BRONX - While many are celebrating Friday's Supreme Court ruling on same-sex marriage at the NYC pride parade, others went to social media to express their thoughts.

A Twitter spokesperson reported that by 3 p.m. Friday, there were more than 10 million tweets about the Supreme Court decision.

Many tweeted their happiness over the decision with the hashtag #lovewins.

Companies such as Expedia and American Airlines also showed support by posting the colors of the rainbow which have symbolized the LGBT social movement for decades.

The White House even changed its white lights to a rainbow Friday night in honor of the landmark decision.
