SOUNDVIEW - A Bronx woman made an emotional appeal to NYCHA Tuesday in her quest to have repairs made to her home of almost two decades.

Geraldine Law says she's made repeated requests to the Housing Authority to fix problems in her apartment.

The first issue, she says, is that there's a leak above her toilet. She says it's been an ongoing issue for years and that she uses an umbrella to protect herself against dripping sewage.

She also says she has a mouse infestation underneath her kitchen sink.

Law says she's taken NYCHA to court over the issues several times in the past 18 years.

NYCHA tells News 12 that an administrator is scheduled to address the apartment's conditions.
