THE BRONX - Authorities are investigating a possible police-involved shooting near Matthews and Allerton avenues.

The incident occurred shortly after 6 p.m. Both streets were closed as authorities responded to the scene. Sources say shots were fired by a police officer.

Reports say police were searching for one or two armed suspects. No information on possible injuries has been confirmed.
