Sources: Teen dead in stabbing near I.S. 117, suspect in custody
THE BRONX - A 14-year-old is dead after police say he was stabbed by another 14-year-old outside I.S. 117.
Sources say the eighth-grade victim was stabbed multiple times just after 3 p.m., and was pronounced dead on arrival at Bronx Lebanon Hospital.
A student who told News 12 The Bronx that he witnessed the incident says a school security guard caught the accused attacker and took him inside the school.

One of the suspect's neighbors, Lazaro Batista, says the teen had just returned to school after staying at Bronx Lebanon Hospital's Psychiatric Inpatient Unit for nearly three months.
News 12 is told that police are looking into whether the suspect was robbed by the victim earlier this year.
There is no word yet on charges pending against the suspect.
