South Bronx tour highlights local development

THE BRONX - A special bus tour was held this morning in the South Bronx, highlighting different projects that display how the area is developing.

The several-hour tour was organized by the South Bronx Overall Economic Development Corporation, or SO-BRO, and traveled to 15 different sites, including the FedEx Distribution Center and the Bruckner Arts and Antiques District in Mott Haven.

Organizers and participants say the event is important because it teaches others about how The Bronx is growing.

The tour happens only once a year, and about 30 community members and business owners took part.
