THE BRONX - People in Spuyten Duyvil are calling on Con Edison to bury power lines in their neighborhood.

Assemblyman Jerry Dinowitz and members of the community say the only solution to constant outages is to reinstall the power lines underground, just as they are in Manhattan.

Residents say there are about seven buildings that experience frequent blackouts, most of which have elderly tenants who depend on electricity for their medical needs.

News 12 reached out to Con Edison about the issue, but has not yet heard back.
